On May 31, 2019, teachers Zujca Stojanova and Deniz Redzepov, together with their first grade students carried out the final extracurricular activity according to the Nansen model for the school year 2018/2019.In the school yard, the students played various games of competitive nature whose goals are to encourage students to perform exercises, to develop the sense of aesthetic performance of the movements and to stimulate them to perform the exercises properly. All students were actively involved in the activity and showed great sports spirit. At the end of the activity, in order to mark the successful completion of the school year, the students were awarded certificates for their participation in the activities of the Nansen model for intercultural education.NDC Skopje wishes the students a happy and fun summer!
On 22nd March, 2019, teachers Deniz Recepov and Zujca Stojanova together with first grade students carried out the daily activity “Flower garden” from the Eco section of the Annual Program for extracurricular intercultural activities.
The activity was carried out in a dynamic working atmosphere. The students independently created flowers from plastic caps, drew butterflies and birds. Their works were exhibited in the classroom’s display, forming a flower garden.
The aim of this activity is to encourage students to independently monitor the changes occuring in nature, expand the children’s experience on natural phenomena, as well as to perceive their interconnection, sensitize students for possible ways of using waste materials in the household, and to encourage children’s originality and innovation in creating new products with plastic waste material.
In February 2019, teachers Jagoda Miteva and Kemal Alicov, carried out activities from the monthly topic Railway traffic as part of the Traffic section of the Annual Program for extracurricular intercultural activities for the second grade.
The activity began with games through which the students improvised the train station as well as the travel process. Afterwards, students divided into groups created several works related to the topic.
The aims of the activity are: to empower children for safe behavior in the railway traffic, expand the knowledge of students for the professions involved in the railway traffic, adopt the cultural and social phrases necessary for proper and cultural behavior while using the railway traffic, as well as to recognize traffic signs that are assumed for safe and reliable rail traffic.
On February 15, 2019, teachers Deniz Recepov and Zujca Stojanova carried out the daily activity “Games with clay” from the Eco section of the Annual Program for extracurricular intercultural activities for the first grade.
Teachers explained how to work with clay and showed several previously made crafts. Afterwards, the students worked in pairs in which they modeled the clay and created dishes.
The aim of this activity is to encourage the development of children’s imagination and creative potential, to encourage students to actively use the newly adopted terms in everyday speech, to develop fine hand muscles during manipulation with clay and as well as to support a habit of regularly maintaining the family home.
In December 2018, teachers Deniz Rexhepov and Zujca Stojanova carried out the daily activity “New Year Cards” from the monthly topic “New Year’s wishes” as part of the Eco section of the Annual Program for extracurricular intercultural activities for the first grade.
In order to execute this activity the students used different tools and worked individually. They had different ideas and created cards, demonstrating their creative ability.
The goals of the activity are the development of precision in handling paper and scissors, exercising eye – hand coordination when cutting and arranging elements of different sizes, as well as encouraging cooperation in tandem and team while implementing the project tasks.
In December of 2018 teachers Jagode Miteva and Kemal Alicov carried out the daily activity “At the bus station” from the monthly topic “Land traffic” as part of Trafficsection of the Annual Program for extracurricular intercultural activities for the second grade.
Through the games, students improvised the bus station as well as the travel process, independent behavior and safe movement on the road.
The purpose of this activity is to expand students’ knowledge about land transport, to enable themto independently classify land transport vehicles and to develop their imagination and creativity for the means of transportation.
During the month of November, teachers Deniz Rexhepov and Zujca Stojanova carried out the daily activity “Autumn’s dress” from the Eco section of the Annual Program for extracurricular intercultural activities for the first grade.
For the realization of this activity, the students, in cooperation with the teachers, used natural tools – leaves with different colours and shapes and manipulated with the materials to create a dress shaped craft.
The goals of this activity are to create a positive environment with a heterogeneous ethnic structure and strengthen the interactive work, to follow changes occurring in nature during autumn season, to encourage creativity and raise awareness among children about the aesthetic appearance of the group’s final products.
On 27.11.2018, teachers Jagoda Miteva and Kemal Alicovcarried out the daily activity “Land transportation vehicles” from the monthly topic “Land traffic” as part of the Trafficsection of the Annual Program for extracurricular intercultural activities for the second grade.
The students were divided into small groups and worked in pairs. By using different materials they created transport vehicles. During this activity, the students have exercised precise cutting, gluing and assembling.
This activity’s aim is to support the interest of children and the curiosity for the study of land transport and their ability to independently classify the means of transport.
On June 8, 2018 teachers Zujca Stojanova and Denis Redzepov together with their students marked the successful end of the school year that was enriched with project activities according to the Nansen model for intercultural education. The students enjoyed the wonderful weather in the school yard where they played various games and activities.
